The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM) is seeking feedback from registrants on several proposed updates to new and existing Practice Directions and Guidelines. These updates aim to reflect emerging pharmacy practices, address regulatory changes, and enhance clarity and patient safety. Your input is essential to ensure these documents align with the standards of pharmacy practice while remaining practical and effective.
Purpose of the Consultation
CPhM regularly reviews its regulatory documents to ensure they align with best practices, legislative requirements, and the evolving needs of pharmacy professionals and the public. The proposed updates in this consultation aim to:
- Provide clear guidance to pharmacy professionals
- Enhance patient safety and accessibility of pharmacy services
- Align with regulatory and legislative changes
This consultation provides an opportunity for registrants and other interested parties to offer feedback, which will help inform the Council’s final decision-making process.

- Drug Distribution and Storage Practice Direction
- Ensuring Patient Safety Practice Direction
- Controlled Substance Accountability Guideline
- Compliance Packaging Practice Direction and Compliance Packaging Guidance Document
- Administration of Drugs Including Vaccines Practice Direction
- Permanent and Temporary Pharmacy Closures Practice Direction
