I found a Manitoba employer who will hire me ASAP, what do we need to do?
In rare cases, applicants would find an internship preceptor who also has a position available in their pharmacy and will agree to hire their intern the soonest they have been registered and licensed as a pharmacist in Manitoba. For CPhM to consider expediting the application, kindly have your potential Manitoba employer provide a letter, addressed to the CPhM Registrar, with the following:
- Provide reason why there currently isn’t a Manitoba pharmacist that can fill the position
- Provide reason why there is a dire need to have you licensed as soon as possible
- State that you are staying in Manitoba after your internship is complete
Once received, the letter will be taken into consideration in reviewing your application for registration and licensure as a Pharmacist. You will be informed if further action or documentation is needed from you and/or your potential employer.
