Health Canada Information Sessions on Controlled Substances Regulations

Health Canada has a new set of regulations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) called the Controlled Substances Regulations (CSR). To support these changes, Health Canada’s Controlled Substances Program will be providing information sessions on the relevant changes that impact those working in community pharmacies.

Health Canada has a new set of regulations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) called the Controlled Substances Regulations (CSR). The CSR comes into effect on October 1, 2026 and replaces the existing regulations made under the CDSA.

To support these changes, Health Canada’s Controlled Substances Program will be providing information sessions on the relevant changes that impact those working in community pharmacies, specifically pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy managers.
